The state should examine the arrival of millions of sardines off the Irish coast from the Mediterranean, a leading marine biologist has said.

In recent days, the Fiona K III and Ocean Venture II have landed more than 100 tonnes of the warm-water fish in Dingle harbour.

We need, in Ireland, to develop procedures and infrastructure to farm fish and educate the Public to consume more fish.
