17 years ago, I was leaving UK and Univ. of Leeds, after having spent 8 years in the Big Island (PhD, post-doc, 3 y lectureship in Leeds)...in a Renault Clio, with my Dad as co-pilot, we were going Leeds-Hull (stop at Helias and Elpina) and then ferry to Rotterdam and then drive all the way to Greece.
